TinCan

Terms

Last updated 27 August 2026. The short version, in plain English.

TinCan lets your group take card payments through a QR code, without hiring a card terminal. That's the whole product.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe and paid out directly to the bank account you connect. Your money never sits with us. Each card payment carries a fee (shown on our pricing page and again at checkout) that either the buyer or your group pays, your choice.

No contract, no subscription

There's nothing to sign and nothing to cancel. If you stop using TinCan, that's it, nothing owing.

Your responsibility

You're responsible for what you sell, for the accuracy of your menu and prices, and for handling any money you collect (including cash) appropriately for your group.

What we can do

We can suspend or close an account used for fraud, illegal sales, or repeated chargebacks. We'll try to tell you why.

No guarantees

We do our best to keep TinCan running, but we can't promise it'll never go down, and we're not liable for money you didn't make because of downtime or a bug.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll update this page. Using TinCan after a change means you're fine with it.
